SimpleIDE 0.9.66 default view

How do I set the default view to Project View? Is that no longer an option?


running v0.9.66 on MacOS 10.9.4

The tutorials are written for the default "simple-view". I recommend keeping that. There is a project view option in the properties dialog. However, I urge you and everyone else to use the toolbar to add project view elements as needed. There is no loss of functionality. The only toolbar difference is that the reset button is not shown.


Attaching some pictures to show how all this. To enable the toolbar selections, right-click (ctrl+click on mac?) the toolbar area. You can even move the toolbars around.

I believe what doggiedoc wants to do is have SimpleIDE start up in project view, well that option is no longer there, if it ever was. SimpleIDE is geared for simple view, which is the priority for the Parallax Education group.

Hi

The careful reader will glean all required information to satisfy Paul's question in my last post.

Also, I added one more screenshot showing the project manager open in the default simple view. These are more steps than project view by default, but simple-view is recommended and offers just as much power as project view with flexibility.

Thanks Steve! I did not know I could move tools the sides!! I like that!! But if can refactor my question slightly. How can I save the settings after I arrange the tool bars like I like them?

Sorry to quote myself but just in case this question was missed: Is there a way to save the layout settings once we customize them?
