FYI sale starts today at 4pm PDT. Just got an email. More HXT900 servos, Duane? Limit 20 pieces as usual, I'm sure. :)

I've lost count of how many HXT900 servos I have. I doubt I need any more right now. I'm sure there's plenty of other stuff I need.

Do I need to check to see what's on sale every hour? According to the email in inbox I do.

I wonder how they'll work shipping. If I buy something every hour do I have to pay to have 36 packages shipped?

What was I thinking? I'm sure I'll need more little blue servos.

I knowed you'd be my first responder. You don't disappoint, DD!

There have been several items which I've been very tempted to try.

I can't figure out why I would need one, but I'm very intrigued by this "magnetic induction" servo.

It uses a brushless motor. At $70 it a bit much to buy so I can take it apart to see how it works.

I also think this 433MHz receiver is interesting.

Apparently it could be configured as either a receiver or a transmitter (I'm pretty sure it could be a transceiver as well). Since lower frequencies have better range than high frequencies (with the same amount of power), I wonder if these radios would have better range than my normal Spektrum gear. I'd need to purchase at least two so there would be something for it to communicate with.

This is another servo I'm tempted to try.

Well, darn (I think). While writing this post the 433MHz radios went off sale. Oh well, I already have way more gizmos to try than time to try them.

Me & you both, brother! I wonder if HXT900s will be offered in their sale. Looks like 20-40% off most items.

And yet, that $400 laser scanner is tickling my itchy "Buy It Now" mouse button finger. Trying to resist...

Chassis looks like it has potential, not sure of the motors though:

+1. Bad motors & wheels on a nice chassis.

This Quadwalker looks a bit interesting. $50 includes 8 mini servos, no controller or electronics: http://www.hobbyking.com:80/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=26275 Would like to see a video ofn the walking action. Parallax needs another walking bot.

Edit: found this video. Pretty clunky walking.

You should never serve a bot beer.

I have no willpower to resist newfangled servos. Magnetic induction replacing the potentiometer for position sensing sounds fabulous to me. Some sort of LVDT (or RVDT?) I'd imagine.

I attempted to take advantage of the sale to purchase an anniversary present for my wife.

I was sure she'd really like one of these cool electric airplanes.

However each of my three attempts to checkout ended with an error.
    Attention

    Error! Please checkout again

Now what am I going to do?

I resisted fully, didn't buy anything.

I guess I'm trying to be thriftier than usual, with my newly unemployed status. Trying to make the most of my summer off, but my phone keeps ringing with job interviews, dangit.

    It's a good problem to have. :)
