Our local county Sheriff's department is lobbying to acquire some "drones". They say they'll be used to help locate missing elderly folks. That's such a problem around here. Why I must've seen a dozen or so ambling aimlessly past the building before coffee this morning. Give me a break!!!!! :-[

Sometimes I feel lost in Kaoshsuing, but the corner in front of my favorite Starbucks has at least six video cameras monitoring people and auto traffic. And the block I live on has two directly connected to the police.
My real concern is that there just are not enough people to actually watch everything that cameras capture, or maybe that is a blessing.
Amanda, I would think GPS locators would be a much better solution than drones, unless it's just an excuse to have drones for "other" uses. Another option would be RFID.

With modern day car number plate and facial recognition software the system can know where everyone is all the time. Just in case.
