Get a dog as your personal trainer.
I'd much rather have a wet nose nudging me to get up and out than electric shocks.

With electric shock conditioning there is the hazard of transmarginal inhibition. The user would just shut down and do nothing.

I want one for all my employees. If they don't move at all for ten minutes, probably sleeping. Zapparooo !!! LOL Seriously probably not a good idea to use this on anyone, including myself.

Sounds like just the way to motivate me to throw the thing out!!

Anyone notice this: "340 volts of electric current"?

As the old saying goes, "It's not the volts that jolts, it's the mills that kills."

This guy's customers can determine what level they can tolerate.

I don't think many self-respecting psychologists would agree that you can build motivation on highly negative stimulus. Negative reinforcement is a de-motivator, the way they might use ipecac in aversion therapy to help someone create a distaste for alcohol or cigarettes, for example. Of course, it's possible the inventor has reinvented psychology as well.

I have an offer. The band is said to provide someone "to look over your shoulder" to get you to exercise, and costs $149 and $229. Send the money to me, and I'll send you daily emails to remind you what a no good bum you are, and you should stop spending your precious time on Internet forums.
