Hi,
I opened up my prop dip plus kit to bread board it. I thought there would be something to connect it to my usb or serial port inside the packet. Looks like I a wrong. So when you order this from the states you really need to order a prop plug as well or else how do you connect it to your PC ?

The description for the Prop DIP Plus kit does contain the following sentence:
The Prop Plug USB to serial converter (programming & communication tool) is sold separately.
It should probably state that you need a Prop Plug along with the Prop DIP Plus kit. If you have a serial port on your computer you could build a simple circuit to talk to your Prop.

Here's a link to one thread that describes the circuit -- http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php/85344-Simple-Serial-Interface-for-Propeller-Programming .

EDIT: The circuit is also in the Prop Datasheet with different values for the resistors and capacitor. The actual transistors used aren't very important as long as you use NPN and PNP transistors as shown in the circuit diagram.
