Win 7 64 bit Stamp editor crashes on start up

Title says it all. Downloaded from parallax. Crashes at splash screen. Any ideas?

    Which version did you install because I've never had a problem with mine? Also, did you install the Parallax USB drivers first?

    A rare problem indeed. Can you describe your computer setup in detail? That will speed diagnosis. Make, model, peripherals. Ever had a similar problem with any other software? Has your computer been running crash-free for a while? All latest update from MS? Any hardware conflicts in device manager? Have you ever had Parallax software running on this computer previously?

    Version 2.5.3 was just uploaded on 7/2/14. Is that what you downloaded?
