Hopefully the Secret Service....I can't imagine trying to explain some of my breadboard experimemts or *YOUR* robots to those guys when you show up at the gate.
I've been getting nag mails from Make about it the past couple days.
Hello!
Indeed. Sparkfun told me about it first. Then Maker themselves did it today.
However I'd like to be there to explain to the Secret Service agents, both uniformed and plain clothes about my gadgetry. Or watch as someone shows up with a toddler bot and has the little guy, um, toddling along.
However Erco, they would just wave you and your crowd, both the bots, and your kids along without even so much as a glance.
But I believe one of us might be stopped. I would get through after an interesting discussion.
Funny you guys mention that. LA Air Force Base, less than a mile from where I work, was on lockdown yesterday at quitting time. Roads closed, traffic snarled, swat teams, news crews, the works, because of a reported suspect with "wires coming out of a backpack" or vest and possibly ammunition. Well yours truly bikes right past there every day with a backpack, occasionally with electronics projects and wires in my backpack. Fortunately it's not me AFAIK and all's well today.
