Looking for recommendations for robotic themed games to play.

Games can be for any platform, any decade ... but looking for those that appeal to 10 years and up.

So let's hear of your favorites!

Thanks

The only Robot game I have is Lego Robo Champ. My 8 year old daughter loves to play it with me even though it is an extremely basic game. It may be a bit boring for 10+, but it is a robot themed game.......

Impossible Mission on the C64 comes to mind immediately.

A lot of the C64 games have been ported. Worth a look.

There is a board game called "RoboRally" that was designed by the guy who made Magic the Gathering.

There was a great PlayStation game (very hard to find and has a cult following) called "Carnage Heart" where you program robots to fight each other. That is a classic.

Mindrover is educational and I think you can still get it.

If strategy board games are included, there's vintage Berserker, first out in the late 70s. It's (loosely) based on the Fred Saberhagen books of the same name. I haven't played it in years, but from what I recall it was fun. You have to be into strategy games, though, and not everyone is. I believe they're still selling a version of it, and it's probably on eBay, too.

Note there was also a Milton Bradley board game called Berserk, also featuring robots. This isn't the same game, though I'm sure it has some vintage niceness, too.

How about blowing up robot tanks? Slightly OT perhaps, but you can't find a guy of any age who doesn't love BATTLEZONE. I have the full-size arcade game at home, and here's an excellent free online version at http://chrome.atari.com/battlezone Hit the "fullscreen" button on top, then "start". Left/right/up/down arrows to drive, space bar to fire.

Consider your afternoon shot, fellas. :)

    Another vote for Roboralley! http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/18/roborally
You can also find games like Omega and MindRover on Ebay but you'll likely have to tweak the environment settings some. If programming the bots aren't important, try the old Infocom game Suspended. A very different take on robots.

Dan Bunten's Modem Wars was the coolest game ever. Each commmander controls a dozen or so robot drones and updates only are displayed every 20 seconds. Very non-real time, but almost. It simulates battlefield communication delay. Designed to work over old fashioned phone modem, has imitation graphics. Way cool.

Deus Ex was the best cyborg themed game that comes to mind.

Well, if you like pinball you could opt for a Xenon, Pinbot, Bride of Pinbot, or Jackbot. There was even a Zaccaria ROBOT pinball machine but I've never seen one in person.
