Robotics/Model Rocketry Technology Camp
Dr.Occhiogrosso will be offering a hands-on, exciting robotics summer camp. Students will learn about robotics, basic circuitry, and Mechatronics. The BOE-BOT will be the platform used (see www.parallax.com).
Students will also learn the basics of model rocketry, as they are challenged to first build a standard kit rocket, then fly it using combustion engines. Students will be taught some basic physics of flight: thrust, lift, wind resistance, drag, friction, terminal velocity, and more. Quality, well known Estes rockets and supplies will be used.
A hands-on, exciting camp that will challenge your child at many levels of thought, parents may want to consider taking this camp themselves, to see which one of you can build the more efficient rocket and become more adept at programming their Boe-Bot. Open to students ages 11 to 15.
Camp Dates: June 25, 26, 27, 30 and July 1, 2014, Five Weekdays.
