Hi there, everyone! While programmers from the Parallax forums develop games for the LameStations we've already sent out, we've been busy making some demos of our own.
Check out this trailer for a new demo we just finished, piXel.
What Is The LameStation?
The LameStation is a game console that you build and program yourself.
You get a box of parts, and a soldering iron so you can assemble it.
Then you get a complete set of game development toolseverything you need to write your own games. The included book walks you step-by-step all the way from soldering your first component to playing your first game.
The LameStation teaches hardware, software, and everything in between. For kids, students, and educators, it is the ultimate introduction to electronics and programming all in one box.
Seeking Demo Coders
There are a few LameStation prototype units that have yet to find a home.
If interested, email me at demos@lamestation.com with a couple of paragraphs about your skills with the Propeller and links to other game demos you've created. Each demo coder will receive a pre-assembled LameStation prototype unit. The highest-quality demos will get their own game trailers that will be featured on lamestation.com and the LameStation kickstarter campaign when it's launched.
Experienced Spin programmers only please.

Edit: I just looked at your site and now I understand why you're looking for Spin experience. Looks like you've done a really nice job with both the hardware and the tutorials that go with it. I especially like the audio API and tutorial. Nice job!
I am still interested in a unit though, but I will have to wait until it is released then. Do you have a price estimate yet?
Yep, you've got it! I'm creating an integrated set of libraries specifically for the LameStation so that it's easier than ever to build your own game console. And a book to walk you through the whole process.
For shipping, I've sent them as far as the UK already, so I don't think Sweden is a problem. As for price, I'm looking at selling the kit for $150.
Hey, you're the SIDcog guy? Is this Retronitus? This is awesome.
Great!
Then I am interested in a unit to make some kind of demo on. This will be awesome. I really like the concept and it may actually become a hit amongst nerds and DIYers.
And yes, Retronitus could finally find a home and become part of something cool.
Alright, that's fantastic! Send me an email and we can go from there!
