Emic2 makes my ROBOTIS Premium Humanoid Robot talk!

I have added an Emic2 text to speech module to my 'bot.
It is controlled via an Arduino UNO. He speaks in response to RC-100 commands.

    That's awesome, Irvin. We'd be very interested to see that, hopefully you can share some video soon. The Emic 2 is a great synthesizer. Getting it to sing Daisy is a piece of cake! :)

    I notice you have a gyro listed among the sensors. Does your program use the feed back from the gyro to help it balance as it walks? I'd think using input from a gyro as the robot was in motion would be pretty hard.

    Does the Arduino just take care of the text to speech interface? You're still using the CM-530 to control the servos right?

    Yes, Duane, the 'bot uses a gyro to help maintain it's balance. One problem with Lester is that by adding the Arduino on his chest and the speaker to his back, I have upset his CG. He wobbles a bit. There are gyro tuning methods mentioned in the software documentation. I have not applied them yet.

    And, yes, the Arduino only controls the text to speech.
