Cool time lapse storm cloud formation in Wyoming

I think there are at least a few of you here that can appreciate this, it looks a lot like CGI but it's not.

    Beautiful and totally amazing that water vapor in the sky could be so captivating to behold.

    That type of mesocyclone formation is typical of what we see all of the time here in Oklahoma during storm season. Even without the time lapse they form, and even dissipate, very quickly.

    Welcome to the midwest & plain states!! We get them all the time.

    It gets real exciting when that twisting mass of water vapor reaches down to the ground and starts ingesting debris.

    It's also fun to watch the cute fluffy cumulus clouds start to build thunderheads on a hot summer afternoon.....someone is NOT going to have a quiet evening!
