I see these Gas Sensors in the catalog. Can you plug this board into the bread board an an activity bot? and program the bot to go into an environment and sense the level of gas as an example. I am a high school engineering teacher and thought this looked like a possible group activity with chemistry/science students.

    Well, the sizes are small enough and they are low power. So it is mostly a matter of providing proper regulated voltage and a digitial interface. It certainly seems feasible in terms of those restrictions. Not sure how much gas needs to be present to trigger a response.

    At least in some cases you would need a Analog to Digital conversion, such as the MCP3208 chip. That is a handy chip, but it is about $6 USD per chip (has 8 inputs). You could have the Propeller generate its own ADC.
