Hi all,

If there is already a thread on this topic please redirect me.

I need a gripper or simple arm that can be mounted on Boebot.
The Parallax one does not go well with Ping mounting unit so does not seem to be an option.

Can you please give me some ideas?

Thanks,
Silviu

This might be very difficult due to the size of the Boe-Bot. There are several types of grippers on EBay but because of the size of them it would be a very difficult task to get one to work.

Recently Martin Hebel talked about this same problem and he said something about mounting one of the servos in a different direction.

You can plug the Ping))) into the breadboard and it works quite well with the gripper. Here's a video from one of my projects.

I've also used a servo with a bracket connected to the upper standoffs. It works fine, but tending four servos and other sensors starts to overwhelm it. I added a servoPal and that helps a lot.

@NikosG, thanks. The sensor was part of a project that Erco inspired with this thread:

I want to get better reflector tape, but my job has been nuts for the past two months, so my project time has been limited.
