Podzilla
I've seen PODS containers before, but just today I saw one being delivered using their Podzilla. All-hydraulic, differential drive, twin casters (sorry, tommy tailspin), very maneuverable. The driven (non-caster) end can inchworm sideways by raising the drive wheel, resting on a sideways roller, and extending/retracting the transverse bar. Very cool to watch in action, controlled by a skilled operator like a big video game. I got a variety of ideas just watching it move, there's a robot chassis in there somewhere.

These are at marinas all over the place. They lift up to 1,000 tons. Operators drive 'em around like RC trucks. Fantastic machines. Each corner has it's own drive motor and the slings have another, all electro-hydraulic with a gas engine to drive the generator.
If I could figure out how to embed video, I could post a short one of my boat being launched...
The marina hoist sound like an interesting model, 4 driven, steerable wheels.
Rick: Your day could get much worse if you see THESE pods delivered to your house:

I suspect Casters are involved in some evil way...
