Place Your Bets, Which Pi is Next?

Android has its alphabetic progression of sweets, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat...

Now Raspberry Pi has led to Banana Pi. http://bananapi.org/

Sure it's bigger and better, but more importantly, what's the next Pi de jour? Apple Pi? Cherry Pi? Hostess Pi? Blueberry Pi for Dave James' friend?

All those Tau guys must be livid. http://tauday.com/

I first read that as "... Which P1 is Next?" I thought erco had succumbed to the dark side of P1+/P2/P16X64A speculation.

The only bad part is the "Buy It Now" link doesn't work.

It looks like a nice package depending on the price tag.

I'm voting for Pecan Pie...... (or just to rile all the Southerners)....PEE-can pie!

    erco,

Be serious. "Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean" were all names of versions of the same OS software from the same company.

    "bananapi" is a
blatant attempt by some other manufacturer to ride on the coat tails of the original Pi.

It might be an OK device but the rip is clear.

It would be nice if their website worked....I want to read about their non-profit educationally focused position....or their blatant attempt to ride on success.

I'll wait for Pumpkin Pie! Rick, you are right the site is pretty much useless. All it is is a blatant ad. There is a link that makes no sense "QuickStar". Do they mean QuickStart? QuickStar is an offshoot of Amway. I never trust sites with typos as bad as that.

    $57 isn't bad.

But what in BLAZES is a Lemon cake pie?????? (besides an abomination against all that is Pie!)

If you want pie, there are very few places that do it right...this is one....and it's only 10 minutes away in case of emergencies!! (ok, 10 minutes away from my but when it comes to pie, it's all about me, anyway!!)

Yeah, their website stinks. Is it actually real? What "proof of concept" can they present, because since their website is bad, and since there aren't many links for it online, who's to say it's real????????

"The official Banana Pi website has some typos and non-working links, which doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in the project. But if you’re interested in picking one up, it’s available from several sellers at AliExpress for around $57 and up."

I learned the difference from a Nawlins swamp buggy driver who explained what a "puhkahn" was and what pee-can was. One you would certainly want to make pie from!!!

I wonder if this forum is trying to tell us, as the thread underneath this one is "Frozen Loop"

So with all this discussion about fruit, maybe a frozen fruit loop? ;)

Already have the raspberry pi. If I really get desperate enough, I can just go to any Village Inn within 5 minutes of home for any type of quality Pi(e) I can think of..........
