How can you make the propeller generate more complicated tones?

More specifically, I am referring to the synth object. I was wondering if by putting two frequencies together (Like 440Hz and 441Hz) if you could make more complicated tones for playing music. My guess would be just using two related frequencies would work, but I was wondering whether I should do that, or if it would be more efficient to use external circuitry. When I say complicated tones I mean making the propeller sound like other instruments. Is this possible with two frequencies or would it be better to just make a sample?
