THANK YOU!!!!!!

I don't want to list names because I don't want to miss anyone by accident but we all know who you are!

I think you guys are under-appreciated and for the most part taken for granted.

Day after day, you take time away from your projects and your lives to answer the same questions again and again, field complaints and generally provide excellent customer service to us Yahoos! (yes, I mean it as recently defined).

Every so often you you receive praise and thinks but more often it seems to be the same question and complaints about the software that you have given freely to the community.

I know I could not do this for very long. I don't have the patience, dedication or time to give so freely!

I've tried most of your offerings in some way or another at some point in time. I've learned a lot about many things from them all.

So at least from me to you, THANK YOU!

A lot to explore... I have especially enjoyed all the three versions of Forth. Now it is all about learning C.
On the hardware side, the Tri-blade is fascinating. Gangster Gadgets has a lot. And the PropellerASC+ is begging me to buy one for Arduino shield compatibility.

Thanks for the diversity and thanks to all the OBEX contributors.

I agree, and thank them all the same way.

I can't imagine Parallax without their contributions, to be honest!

:thumb: I agree. So often I have found a solution to a yet to be discovered problem just by reading the very informed comments from the geniuses that inhabit this forum.

    +100...

I learned so much in these forums that I'm always tempted to ask here even if it has nothing to do with a Parallax product.

    Great spirit lives here

When I get help here - which is every time - it helps me with technical challenges, which gives me pure joy in itself, but the fact that you someone somewhere put in a real effort to help me, gives me belief in the goodness of people. I need that.

    Agreed!

I find myself wanting to be more helpful since I've been helped so much here. It's a great cycle to keep going.

I got a better education from this forum than I did from college. I discovered the beauty of calculus from this forum. I don't have to be a genius. They generously share their knowledge and I learn from them. It's like finding gold everywhere. Thanks!

Larry, I think you make an important point. Anybody who really wants to learn a topic can do that so much easier than in the past. With the cost of college continuing to get higher and considering it's looking like a commodity in some ways, I think we're seeing a new era where big achievements can more easily be accomplished without a lot of institution, physical classrooms, and expense.

Agreed to all the posts, but particularly to this one. This forum is a great example of the "pay it forward" philosophy and the results it can achieve.

    +1000

I recently had to do some AVR coding and tried to get some help on the Arduino forum. My post only got about four replies all of which were written by me. This place is far more helpful!
