L1 on Prop Protoboard

Looks like I connected something wrong and fried a little 1uH inductor on an otherwise perfect protoboard. I can't seem to find a replacement for the component.

What does that do for the circuit?

I'm pretty sure it reduces the noise caused by the servos. I've fried at least one of these myself. I just jumped the connection with wire.

I'm curious to hear what others have to say about this. How useful is the inductor in this application? Is it worth the bother and expense to replace it?

Should we be using inductors when using servos on other Propeller boards?

Thanks Duane, it looks like mine fried closed and I may not have noticed it for a long time. I bridged it just in case.

1 uH is basically just a wire running through a ferrite. I'm not sure how you could "fry it closed." Anyway, just jumper it.
