hello

i would like to find the software of The say it GUI for basic stamp 2


the voice recognition

any one ???

    I'm not sure, but the software used with the EasyVr might work with the SayIt.

    when i download it and try to connect it say

    could not enter the control mode , this operation return because the timeout period expired

    what does the sentence mean ??

    How are you connecting the SayIt to the PC?

    usb connected with serial port to the pc ?

    I assume there's a BS2 in between the PC and SayIt?

    Did you load the bridge program into the BS2?

    Make sure and select the correct com port in the GUI.

    I'm not sure where the bridge program is located within the download.

    I'm checking on this. I'll post more instructions later.

    I realize I had never used the SayIt with the BS2 before.

    This is what I learned. The GUI will generate bridge code for the BS2 for you. You just need to plug the SayIt into the pins as show in the pdf (I'm attaching it to this post). Figure 1 on page 2 shows how the SayIt should be connected.

    With the SayIt connected, connect the BS2 to the USB cable and power up the BS2 board.

    You should be able to select the port under File\Port. If you try to click the "Connect" button, it will give you an error about the software being out of date. Click okay to install the bridge software to the BS2. This will take minute or so.

    Once the bridge is installed (it never told me it was done but the blue progress bar reached the end), you can click the "Test Group" button. When it tells you to say a word in the group speak a word. The trigger group will just have the word "Robot" in it so say "Robot". You can try other groups and read the pdf for other things you can do with the SayIt.

    In case anyone is interested in using the SayIt or EasyVR with the Propeller there's information about using it with the Propeller here and here.

    I did exactly the same when I press connected ask about
    Upgrade to connect with bs2 I when it done it say period expired so I can't to test
    My voice her the issues

    I get this message if the SayIt isn't properly connected to the BS2. Is your SayIt connected like Figure 1 on page 2 of the pdf attached to post #9?

    Do you have other things connected to the BS2?

    Can you take a picture of your setup?
