He's Dead Jim...

So, just another typical day at Parallax...

When the "chips" are down (not including the Stamp or Propeller - which always "up" for the task)... even the guys from Manufacturing and R&D chip in to make sure that we don't leave a slightly broken-down machine in the parking lot overnight...

You's truly had the difficult task of documenting this landmark event. Why is it a "Landmark Event" you ask? Because this pic captures the fact that (from left to right) Matt H. Terrell, and Daniel are actually capable of physical labor.

How come you didn't tow it with a Quadrover? :)

Physical labor can really only be documented with a video. (unless holding up a tuba-four is considered "physical labor")

Nice! At least Daniel had the idea of choosing a warped 2x4 so it appeared he was lifting (while wearing OSHA approved flip-flops of course), but alas, only Terrell is using both hands indicating true effort! I actually think Matt is falling over laughing, not exerting force...............:innocent:

My Suburban 2500 454CID 4WD spent a lot of time pulling fork lifts out of mud, and such.

My addition to the carbon footprint. :)

Get those Parallax Solar Panel to recharge the batteries!

Work is equal to Force times Distance. The forklift appears to be in the same position in all three pictures. So even though there may have been force applied, there is no proof that any actual work was performed. :)

Bahahahahah!! I knew I would catch it for the flip-flops >_<. It was pretty hard getting enough traction in the flip flops to keep that thing from rolling backwards. There is a slight incline there, and Jen's (warehouse manager) car was "inconveniently" parked just off frame in the path of destruction if we let the fork lift go.

I'll tell you what, though, Matt - you're lucky you were able to intercept me with the toolbox in hand before I had that thing torn down and reassembled in your office - Real Genius style!

Is this really the most appropriate thread for discussions on that subject?

Most dreamers were criticized and ridiculed while they struggled, and many of those who achieve their dreams are remembered long after. Their critics not so much.
