While looking up a datasheet for an Ebay China H-bridge (http://www.ebay.com/itm/171095655752, website name on PCB pic) I found this page of Chinese hardware: http://www.lctech-inc.com/Hardware/
It's a big page, interesting to peruse IMO. Sometimes project ideas get triggered by seeing something new, for me anyway. I found their speech recognition module on Ebay by searching "ld3320 asr" from their description. See anything that you can't live without?

Nasty voltage drops in the L293 and big cooling problems.

I could live without Erco raiding my wallet. But where is the fun in that?
The chip is an HG7881 , same as L9110
Seems to have a 1.3v drop in the output stage.. indicates it is TTL
