Signed my life away today. I'm off to ERAU to finish my EE with a minor in UAS and a commercial for spring 2015.
Thanks, to say the least.

*Need help from our British friends. I distinctly recall ack-emma being the common slang for aircraft mechanics during WWII - now the only definition I find is for AM (morning) with the corresponding pip-emma for PM. My strongest recollection probably comes from Douglas Bader's biography but then that was years (and years) ago. Any help on this one to retain my waning sanity??
This is not goodbye at all, more of a hello. Everything I take with me stems in one way or another from Parallax products or the inspiration I've received here on this forum. I've always wanted to learn more about electronics for some reason it took 37 years to realize at the end of the day it is what I enjoy most.
Luckily I can go easy on the EE classes because I already have some credits toward it I'm not starting out fresh. I have been told that the UAS minor isn't too demanding. The pilot stuff should be easy I'll just need my commercial and flight instructor ratings. The UAS future may not be clear as of now but I'm sure I can weasel my way in doing something, like Arctic research.
Citabria haha, we have one that has a beer keg for an inverted tank. I have yet to fly a tail dragger. I'm no stranger to broken airplanes though! I would much rather have a broken airplane than 500 different people telling me something doesn't work on a network somewhere. Unless the wings falls off or something like that.
I will ask me DPE about ack-emma, he is sure to know.
Wow, I am just 70 miles from ERAU sent you a pm with my cell number. You are welcome to call any time b4 10PM.

I still have a car like that which is also air-cooled and starts with a "C". I love it nonetheless. Coasting to a safe stop is preferable than trying to glide to one.
Why didn't Ralph try to ban a certain horizontal opposed aircraft engine.
BTW, we had a 1963 Corvair at our Autocross last weekend. Go to see one still on the road.
"Starts" as in "name begins with" not "starts" as in...well, we just won't go there....
Coasting in style!!
