I'm not sure what testing category this falls under (thermal?) but at least 2 of us are glad I got a DE2 to test the P2 FPGA emulation.

For those of you that thought this testing stuff was all fun and games; it's hard work with lots of long hours with only you and your hardware and cat naps to keep you going.

It used to be CAT6 but we lost one a while back so it's CAT5.....if this one isn't careful, it will be CAT4!!

Quite remarkable what you can do with $700USD of good equipment.

This photo pleases me. Do you think I could use it to justify to the IRS a purchase of an FPGA board on the hospital's books?

Use? Yes. Use successfully? NO? :frown: Maybe we could come up with some therapeutic use for cats....then you can write it off for R&D. You know pet people are willing to spend a lot on their little darlings! (As I inadvertantly did.)

It you start selling eggs from your chicken coop, you might expense the board as part of your R&D on an automated chicken coop.

After all, I believe the IRS allows you a couple of years to operate at a loss. But I do worry that it might come under special accellerated depreciation rules for computers and such. That is a nightmarish bunch of rules if you operate at a loss -- makes grown CPA's weep.

Makes me miss having a home office.

So, are you going to Photoshop the Parallax beanie and a www.parallax.com into the image and make a screen saver for the Propeller2 users?

Nah, just take another picture and focus on the Parallax instead of the cat. Unfortunately, it's NOT a rare photo opportunity!
