Just seen these on ebay.

Could they be used to expose copper clad boards for etching prop circuit boards?

Might be the wrong wavelength for ideal exposure. A couple of suitable UV tubes and a simple enclosure with a piece of glass would be cheaper.

Yes I've just done some googling and 315nm to 380nm is the ideal for exposing PCB's

They look cool though

I used two alternatives:
1. CREE UV LED http://www.led-tech.de/produkt-pdf/cree/xlamp_xl7090uv.pdf
2. 35W CAR XENON LAMP (6000K) http://www.minihidkit.com/china-car_headlight_xenon_hid_kits_h4l_h4_2_35w_normal_ballast_6000k_8000k_hid_lamp-748619.html
