Xbee 900HP and line passing?

Its simple, does the Xbee 900HP support line passing? I looked on the official PDF thing, but on some forum it said that it did not support line passing. Quite confusing.

The 900HP does not support line passing, but it does support line monitoring. The difference is that line passing happens automatically, to link the state of a line on one XBee to the state of a corresponding specific line on a remote XBee. Line monitoring requires a µC connected to the XBee on at least one end. The µC makes command strings to its local XBee that read or set pins on the remote or local XBee.
