Hidy Ho folks . I have some new toys that need some parallax swag inside them.

Lets just say Kerbal space program along with co-worker at my job and a friend at the local Frys got me back in to this ..

I give you my rocket collection .

attachment.php?attachmentid=107451&d=1394434976

The top 2 are MPRs that are made for F and G motors up to 2K feet .
I have Years of ARDF and ham radio tracking to make me want combine T hunting and rockets !
And on the " way up " I want to use a few sensors to give me some telemetry on how stable the beasts are .
Then reverting to CW Beacon for tracking down after they land.

I have weight as a Huge issue so Ill have to for the first time make my own PCB with a prop and its other parts so that I can make it as light as I can .

Ad Astra Explodus !

Peter

Check out http://bigredbee.com/ for ideas on rocket trackers. I've used the 70 cm transmitter in a 29mm minimum diameter rocket that went to 4000 feet on a G motor. I never would have found it if I hadn't used the radio tracker. Also, get on the rocketry forum at http://rocketryforum.com . You'll see some discussions on commericial, homebrew and open projects on trackers and flight computers. It will be good to see a version based on the Prop.

If you need an onboard data logger the propforth data logger needs only and SD adapter and SD card. CHEAP!

Software realtime clock is accurate to clock cycles for a couple days, and the SD card card store several samples per second for something like a year (depending on spample rate and frequency). You could log all the data for every flight for a year on the same card.

I am not really interisted in local logging on the thing as I have a radio .. might as well use it for data and ARDF.

http://www.silcom.com/~pelican2/PicoDopp/MICROHUNT.htm Is what I have used in the past and I recon Ill just tap in to the audio line and do some OOK on the trace to modulate

    *reinstalls KSP*

Are you going to make a Propeller controlled launch box? I've been thinking about adding my EMIC2 to my launch box for a countdown and alerts.
