PIR Sensor Rev B - Disabling LED lights

I just got one of the new Rev B PIR sensors. Unfortunately for my project I do not want the white dome to illuminate when there is a change in ambient IR (when the sensor sends a HIGH signal).
To disable the two red LED's on either side of the PIR sensor, I removed the dome and unsoldered the resistor in series with the LED's. The sensor still functions normally but without the LED's. Just thought others might need to solve this problem.
