Recently Daniel posted a small update here http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php/154105-Life-after-Nano?p=1244705&viewfull=1#post1244705

I was wondering what will be on this pcb, size etc.

IMHO an equivalent DE0-Nano, but with the larger Cyclone V A7 would be nice. Keep the same footprint and the existing daughter-card would work nicely.
This might then generate additional sales for general use, in addition to the P2 emulation, for Parallax.

With or without programmer circuitry ?... without could save a couple bucks.
    And SDRAM :)

Quite a while ago I thought about building a simple FPGA pcb with just the FPGA and Flash, plus of course the Vregs. Headers for a number of I/O (not all pins would be brought out because I was only going to do a double sided pcb. I could program the flash with a prop via a small header. No SDRAM. These things could be added via the headers and a plugin board (speed could be an issue with SDRAM via a daughterboard though).
I was looking at the 5CEBA2 or 5CEBA4 (25K or 49K LEs). They share common footprints.
I also was looking at 5CEBA5 / 7 / 9 as they also share common footprints.

If the Parallax pcb is only a month away I would much rather wait for it. However I would like to know what is on the board.

As you may remember I did this Spartan3/Prop board with SDRAM but without programming interface. It works but driving the SDRAM proved elusive... I did not plan for a logic analyzer pod and timing issues are difficult to see :(
A small SDRAM/VGA/Audio out board doesn't need so fine tooling as the BGA board... most probably the way to go
