Prop Pi cross education

As the Raspberry Pi was developed for education and it look to be a very good tool for that but in a different area then the Prop has Parallax looked into working with the RPi folks to help each other?
This could help both, as the prop is a very powerful micro compared to the Arduino and I think it could be shown to be more cost effective then the Arduino. The only way to say an Arduion is less expensive then a prop board is to compare an Arduino without its shield to a prop board that does not need a shield. How is a $30 Arduino less expensive then a $35 QuickStart board. If $5 is going to be that big an issue then you are shortchanging yourself. The QuickStart board looks to me to have much more value and functionality so much more value. The prop is more like 8 boards in one.
There are several link to sites that show the RPi in education, but in England. This is a way the US is being left behind. Check out Sonic Pi or Geek Gurl Diaries or the University of Cambridge Raspberry Pi page. This would be much better then touch screen toys that a preschooler can learn on there own. (sorry about the rant).
An android tablet can be a good ad on for a micro as there are several cheap and free languages (Python is free and Basic!) so you can send data back and forth. (I am not there yet but just got mine so be easy on an old man).
I do hope to see Parallax and Raspberry by helping each other in the future.

Hi Dale!
Thank you very much for the suggestion; we hadn't thought to contact the Raspberry Pi guys ourselves and I think it's a good avenue to explore. We definitely want to do more to promote this relationship between RPi and Propeller.
We'll check out all the links you suggested also.
Thank you!
