OK, everybody is tired of Kickstarter, idea incubators, venture capitalist, it's all been done to death!
Let's look at some new "old ways" to help fund the Propeller2 development project!
My personal favorite: Mnemonic Naming Rights: Put up your dollars to buy your own P2 PASM Mnemonic. Sure every assembler has a MOV but how many have an ERCO? NOP, of course but wouldn't Mindrobots make more sense? SETTASK....boring....how about HEATER? For a few dollars a mnemonic, you could pay tribute to your neglected wife or girlfriend. $100 and WAITPNE becomes PEGGYSUE. Got a few extra bucks and want to honor your favorite sports team...how 'bout DABEARS! Sure, it won't make any sense but think how fun and unique P2 PASM code will be!!
Next Up? Parallax Bobble Head Dolls.....come one, 10,000 posts and you get a VIP banner?? No way, 10,000 posts and Parallax offer you up as a Bobble Head! 20,000 post?? Limited edition Bobble Head!
This one isn't mine but sounds like fun! Forumite Darts! Dartboard, darts and a set of avatar targets with various point values for different Forumites! (offered in a C/C++ edition, a Forth Edition and the special Grumpy Forumite collectors edition) - collect all three!!
So, let's hear it what other fundraising ideas do folks have????
