ActivityBot and Infrared Line Follower Kit
I have been successfully using the BoeBot with a servo-mounted sonar and the infrared line following kit (part #ID 28034) for a high-school robotics camp for two years now. Not a big fan of PBASIC but it worked ok.
Parallax was nice enough to send me a sample of the ActivityBot and without any hesitation I am sold on it!. However I am not sure if mechanically I can mount the infrared line following kit and a servo based sonar like on the BoeBot. The chassis seem identical, so is it fair to assume that from a mechanical point of view, I can mount both of them? How about the QTI sensor?
I realize that port availability will become an issue, especially when considering what else is going on but for now I am just wondering about the mechanics of it.

The chassis is the same as that used on the Boe-Bot, and you should be able to mount the same add-on kits as you have in the past. This was a serious consideration of ours when we were planning for a Propeller robot; we wanted to make sure customers didn't lose compatibility with their favorite add-on kits.
Cheers,
