I have been working on my most recent robot project build. His name is BIGFOOT. The mechanical aspects are pretty much done now I am stepping into the electrical aspects in which I am thinking about getting sensors from Parallax to read the vital data such as temperature, voltage, current, gps, compass etc into the platform to send data wirelessly through an xbee to the controller.

Once done with testing out the robustness of the drive platform, I will be integrating sensors one by one.

Looks gorgeous. I made the mistake of hooking up an x-bee to what I thought would be a stable supply. Turns out that subtle voltage spikes fried my xbee (non-Parallax) unit… and created a short disabling my board. The lesson that I took away was to be sure you to use a Parallax board that supports the xbee on both side of the equation.

A most excellent bot, jasperduf! Just one question. What's all that white stuff all over the ground?

It's 70 degrees and sunny here in LA! :)

Looks yellow on the video. The huskies must have been there.

    Go Huskies!

    Nice, that is a beast!

I see you like to live on the edge and use the tracks to hold stuff :)

Nice, I to build tracked robots using snowblower tracks. Mine were built with wheel chair motors and went pretty fast. I since sold the last one and started building one with motors from electric scooters.

    What motors are u using?
