    How's you jumbo IR sensor working?

    I'm just getting ready to wire mine up and was surprised to see two ground lines (including the red wire) and two 5V lines (which includes the black wire).

    I was surprised to see the two ground lines are not connected together on the sensor. Same with the two power lines. They aren't connected internally on the sensor either.

    Maybe one set of power/ground lines is used to power the IR LED and the other set powers the light sensor?

    Apparently the thing can draw over 300mA?! Adafruit includes a 220uF capacitor with this sensor. I figure I'll also add a 220uF (or so) cap to mine.
