Unofficial Propeller Expo Singapore (maybe)

Its already the 6th year I've been doing things with the prop but have yet to meet another soul that uses one on this island. Maybe there are but I've never met them. And, whenever I mentioned Propeller/Spin etc to suppliers, technical & lecturers, I most certainly get the "airshow"-related replies. I'm contracted by a technical institution for the next 3 months & the microcontroller platforms they are familiar with are Arduino/Uno & the recent Intel Galileo.

Anyway, wanted to know if anyone who knows someone who might have tried it or intended to but didn't due to whatever reasons? Last thing I want is a waste time & effort in setting one up with no one attending/participating. Constructive advices/suggestions welcome.

You should have organised this when my daughter was living there (4 years). She has been in S.Korea for a year now.
My niece still lives inSingapore. Would have been easier to organise visiting my daughter with a day or two off for a meetup :(

Yeah, guess I should have but only till recently do I had a little more time on my hand. Had been passively looking into the education market in the past but without any specific target audience & focus up until now. There seems to be a small pool of people that likes to tinker (assemble, DIY, programming etc) but just doesn't know how. The robotic/DIY shops here just basically sells stuffs but doesn't provide any proper guidance other then telling them to go this web-site, read this, try this etc (Arduino stuffs). Then again, reaching these target group is another area I need might look into. Guess I could draw up a simple brochure & ask some of these shops to paste on their display window.

I'll probably be asking a friend of mine if I could use some of his space to place a table of Propeller stuffs & my Matanya. It'll just be a one Sat afternoon thingy & am planning somewhere during student holiday weeks in Mar. If not, then in June.

    MacTuxLin,
I think you should go ahead. Good luck. I wish someone would organise a Prop Expo in Australia. There seem to be enough power users here!

Thanks mate. Think I'll try the March 2014 but not sure if I have sufficient time to do all the preparations ....

Anyway, drafted a first-pass simple announcement. Asking Parallax permission if the QS pix & wording is OK?
