First time on this board, and have a stupid question. Where can I find the schematic for this board? I've been searching but can't come up with it. :frown: Thanks

It's not on the website (or at least not easily found): http://www.parallax.com/downloads/homework-board-usb-product-guide

AFAIK it's a SMT BS2 with a built-in FTDI USB adapter, 5V regulator, a reset pushbutton, a green LED "running" indicator, and 220-ohm series resistors on all of the I/O pins. Did you have a specific question about what's connected to what?

erco, thanks for the reply. I did find that page earlier, but not anything that gives the full schematic. This pdf (http://www.bairesrobotics.com.ar/stamp/hwb.pdf) gives the schematic on page 4 for a different version of the Homework board. It would be nice to come up with the correct schematic for the p/n 28818 board.

Excellent find, MikeBASIC! That PDF is worth saving, since it doesn't appear on the Parallax site any more. The 28818 USB board is probably much the same, with the addition of the built-in FTDI USB/serial adapter, but I'll defer to Chris or another Parallaxian as the real authority. There have been several subtle revisions in the BS2-IC family and probably the HW boards as well.

I just checked and we do have a schematic for that board. I will see if we can get it on the website tomorrow and then I will follow-up on this message. Need to check with our Education Dept. first.

Our apologies! The schematic is now available as a linked download from the HomeWork Board and BASIC Stamp Activity Kit product pages, and its own page here:
