Has anyone encountered a log 1m motorized potentiometer in their travels?

I may have one motorized potentiometer setup (with a good clutch to allow it to slip when it comes to the end of travel). The pot can be swapped out for any value, log or linear.

These are rather rare. I bought it years ago and it is socked away somewhere. Aside from needing a h-bridge to control rotation, it is rather bulky. There might be more for sale over-the-counter in Taiwan. I'd have to look.

Elliot Sound Products shows how to make a nearly log taper from a liner pot by adding a few resistors. Log pots are getting harder to find.

Also, you need to be clear as to what is your watt rating for the pot. 1/2, 1, 2, or 5 watt.

You might search Google Images for 'motorized potentiometers' with good results. For some reason, Google does a 'flat search' of pictures, without all the diversion to paid advertisers. Follow the pictures to the link for what looks good.

(I use Google Images to find schematics as well. Search engines are not what they used to be.)

    LOL...you got that right.

My daughter clued me in using Google image search...she got a gold star for that.

Thanks for the replies, I had used Google and also lots of emails to sales reps and wasn't able to find anything. The Bourns look good, thanks for that link! I would consider hacking them but I don't think that would go over well with the end users. It also needs to be something long life cycle so hopefully the Bourns is what we're looking for. Thanks again :)

Bourns potentiometers are good. I have used them often.
