Dear Friends
The new series S3B on XBEE 900HP have all models with the possibilities to be programmed with an application program at the Freescale Processor that is installed at the top layer. Also at the top layer there is a 8 pins smd sop footprint. This footprint is connected to the main processor that is installed at the bottom layer. What is the use of this footprint and what is the number of the Integrated circuit that will be use there. (Flash Memory ???)
Thank you
Best Regards

I wondered in passing about that too. They say that the "programmable" version of the XBee HP puts a Freescale MC9S08QE32 µP on that top 48 pin QFN footprint, but I have no idea about what fills the SO8 footprint. The Digi site has hardly anything in the way of documentation for that version. You can purchase the dev kit for $300, and maybe that will have something? Digi does have a forum, and a sub-forum for the programmable, but good luck with that. Most questions go unanswered. Have to tried to pose your question direct to their support people?
