Do Fiber Optic USB2.0s exist?

I can find fiber optic USB1s and fiber optic USB 3.0s, but can not find a fiber optic USB 2.0.
So I wonder why that is.
1. I don't know how to search the internet.
2. There was no market for it.
3. It can't be done.
Number three bothers me. I can see how the fiber optic USB 1.0 was OK because of the low speed requirements. I can see how easily the fiber optic USB 3.0 works because of the dual channels.

I guess the answer was number 1 after all
I thought I searched all manner of "fiber optic USB" possibilities.
What was the search term you used?
I only used google, that may be the problem?
Say $50 or so?

I am having a problem with a computer to printer connection. The USB 2.0 cable appears to be culprit. I get a communication error about once every 14 hours.
We have 15 of these setups with a varying amount of error rates. These are large format printers running hundreds of feet at a time. When the communication error occurs the company loses hundreds of dollars. They have been battling this for years and now I have been brought into the fight. I can not move the computer closer to the printer. If I could, I would try to use a much shorter USB 2.0 cable. The USB cable we are using is the standard 16 foot USB 2.0 cable. Many people have looked into this problem. We have multiple buildings with this problem. At the moment I am enclosing each USB cable in a grounded flexible metal conduit.
If you are curious about the company, here is their WEB site. http://stockdale.net
APC makes some that use CAT 5/6 that are in the $50-$150 range. Don't know how good they are though. I have to wonder if this is actually a software/computer issue and not really a problem with the cable. I guess it could be some kind of really off the wall sporadic interference though.
I tried an active usb cable but it would not communicate at all.
I did plan to try a CAT5 type USB cable.
EDIT: You by chance carry Super Bowl 48 Champions plates?????
