We were pushing single digit temps just a couple of days ago. Crazy as it sounds, a thermometer on my balcony is currently reading 62F !!! and the weather people say we may see close to 70 F by Sunday. I had to turn my AC on today. Unbelievable.

It's not that cold, (32), but it sure is white. (6-1/2" w 9"drifts with ice one top)

Only about 200' feet to go, by hand. The brand new snow thrower went in the shop yesterday for repair.

Another 6" coming on Sunday, so I HAVE to get rid of this beforehand.

Yours is prettier than ours....maybe it's perspective?

You know, the snow is always prettier on the other driveway!

We didn't get what they threatened us with....but we got enough, around 6 inches.

Sunday? We're just getting "a few snow showers"

It just does not under stand the Forth word "PLOW".

    What am I doing wrong?

This sounds like it could be the start of a variation on an old joke....

"A Forth Programmer and a fire loving Roboticist are planning to build a snow removal robot but they can't get the plow to work. The Roboticist says, "I know, we can burn the snow!" The Forth Programmer says, "We can't do that! How will we get rid of the ashes?"

I have never understood why some company doesn't sell a remote control option for snowblowers...if I had snow to blow it would be THE OPTION I would want to have for a snow blower.

Robotic lawn mowers and snow blowers have no way of telling what they have hit, when they hit something. That can be rather dangerous --- launching rocks into the air, or running over your passed out neighbor that is buried under the snow from a binge the night before.

What do you tell your daughter when you have minced her cat in the snow plow or lawn mower?

Still, I'd rather have a robotic snow blower than a robotic lawn mower.

Yeah..I was thinking of the liability angle but with a remote control and wireless video it would sell like hotcakes!

Mod the shaft so instead of an auger it turns a hydrolic pump, and add an arm with a shovel. Thats what I plan to do if I even work out hydrolics.

Another 8", and STILL waiting on a back ordered $3.00 part for my brand new snow blower! I'll spare you the pictures. Looks the same as post #34, except there is 12" added to the snow mounds.

How are you guys doing in the Carolina's ? Doogiedoc?

The heaviest snowfall here at the beach was in January of 1932 and we got a whole two inches of it. It was 80° here at my place yesterday :)...

    Thanks for sharing. :)

Currently 34 degrees, heat wave! And the 8" of snow is finally shoveled.
