PAB (Prop Activity Board) and 2X16 Serial LCD Display

Hello!
On a whim I decided to see how the code for the display works as applied to the PAB I have here. It turns out that it works perfectly. (Naturally the IDE is set to look for COM1 for the QS board I also own. But after checking to see where it keeps that information stored, I then set it to COM3 and it works. Of course when the board was connected, it promptly selected a port that's definitely not what I'd expect.)

So far it works as expected.

Side issue, how I do I go about installing a micro SD card on the board without making a mess of things? It doesn't look to be the same size as the card sockets that I associate with phones and tablets.

The PAB uses a standard microSD socket -- and I have used on microSD cards from cell phones without issue. The board I was showing at the Hackaday event was a PAB running my WAV player, using a new encoder driver I wrote for N&V to set volume.

    Hello!
I see. (Or I think I do.) It seems that the cards I have are not the right size for being installed. Both do fit on the tablet I have. And I believe that they would fit onto a phone that I've got here someplace.

Well that's not that important at the moment.

Then they are not microSD cards -- they're something else. SIM card, perhaps.

This is what you're looking for:

Not sure what's going on, then -- here's my PAB with an microSD (holding music) installed. Easy-peasy.

    Hello!
I think I just got tagged by a very unhappy leopard. (black leopard) It seems that the method of insertion is one of it goes in that way. The card gets inserted from position of from the left side of the board in. Well now the card I was thinking of is occupied with the tablet I mentioned.

The other one is available. [I have two. One a very small one, 500 M, and the second one of 8G.]

    Thank you JonnyMac.
