It's not really relevant to this topic, but I should point out that this is not true as a blanket statement - many of us find uncached parallel XMM much more useful. As fast (faster in some cases) than cached serial XMM and it doesn't consume any additional cogs or Hub RAM.

This is a good point. In fact, it would be interesting to try this with PropGCC as well. What do you consider the best current platform for parallel XMM? I've played with DracBlade but I don't think that is even available anymore.

The fastest boards I have at the moment are Cluso's RamBlade boards. And you also have the advantage that there is already Catalina code written to support them!

I have a couple of RamBlade boards. I'm not sure which versions but I'm afraid I've never found the time to wire them up. If it doesn't have a USB or PropPlug connector on it so I can just plug it in and power it up I end up never getting to it. I remember being very impressed by the original RamBlade as well as one of the newer ones though. I started working on wiring up my oldest RamBlade board but then it seemed like a waste of time since it isn't available anymore. I guess I should look at Ray's site to see what the current state-of-the-art is.

RamBlade is still available and I sell a couple most months. RamBlade3 is available as a combo of 2x 1"sq boards (CpuBlade + MemBlade). The TriBlade is not available.
My website is still valid even tho' I haven't updated it in a long time.

Yes, sorry. After I posted my message I went to your web site and noticed that both RamBlade and RamBlade3 are available. I have both and will try to get to them when I get back from California. What happened to RamBlade2?

I ended up referring to the TriBlade prop with the sd card and sram as cpu2 so I skipped the RamBlade2.

I'm not sure how up to date that site is, since I got some "beta" boards direct - I hope Cluso chimes in here, but it may be better to send him a PM.
