Somewhat like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Very captivating! Irresistable force meets "the real thing".

In contrast, this guy dipping his iPad 2 in lava just didn't do it for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzainwT1mrA&feature=player_detailpage#t=42

Reminds me of my favorite movie and Steve McQueen's first, "The Blob". I loved the part where it snuck into the movie theater on the ceiling and then dropped down to eat the audience.

Flying to Hawaii to sacrafice an iPad to the volcano god seems rather odd and pointless. I'd like to see what a quart of mineral spirts in a steel can would do.

That was neat, and a much less violent reaction than I expected. I thought it was going to flash to steam and send chunks of lava flying.

That's true. Apparently Mentos (with diet coke) contain more potential energy that lava, if my math is correct.

Not to give anyone ideas, but I can't stop thinking this would be a good way to solve the old "what do we do with the dead body" problem that seems to have plagued the nefarious type over the years...

If our very own prime minister David Cameron was to trip and fall into that stuff would he become a Lava-tory?
