What are these?

I bought these as part of a Jameco grab bag quite some time ago. Now I don't know what they are. They seem to mostly have 3 legs and a screw on the side.

I searched around the web, but no luck finding them. I'm sure that they are out there, but I must be using the wrong search terms.

    They look like multi-turn potentiometers to me.

    Those are variable resistors or potentiometers. Most in that type of package are multi-turn, meaning it can be 5-20 turns to sweep through the pots range.

    Try "trimming potentiometer" in Google....you'll even get pictures like yours!
