$1300 Cardboard Robot
From Japan. I don't get it, must be a cultural thing, like Godzilla. Maybe I missed something. Just $1288 shipped, 11 servos, manual in Japanese. O moshi roi, desu ne?

I must say I admire Japanese weirdness. There is a whole range of collectibles. A few years back at the height of the global finacial crisis, Hello Kitty's parent compony doubled in one year on the Tokyo exchange.
The Japanese seem to create something out of nothing and there always seems to be a 'cute factor' in play.
It must be something is the wasabe. Like Clint Eastwood, I suspect that Steve Job's secret to success was to market line a Japanese.

The reviews on the Danboard figure are so Twilight Zone'ish. It's hard to believe they really talking about how wonderful their little cardboard robot is.
It does look like a must have for anyone with a Robot Room.
