PPDB Breadboarding

edited 2014-01-15 11:09 in Propeller 1
I've attached two dxf files that show the layout for the breadboard area on both versions of the prop development board. I find it useful to do layout on a computer and then build the actual circuit. Saves quite a bit of rearranging during development. One of the first rules of project management to to have a plan!

The .dxf files were created using QCAD Pro on Linux ( Ubuntu ). I don't have AutoCad so I would be interested if others are able to open / view / edit these files.

    Imports just fine with DesignCAD.

    Dunno about Autocad.
I threw that away 30 years ago.

What version of DesignCad do you have?? I have been using DC for years and love it.. It probably has gone through many updates since I got it...

    Opens fine in:

    AutoDesk DWG TrueView 2012
    MS Visio 2010
Draftsight x64 2012 (had to change some layer colors because the background is black)

Thanks everyone. I was hoping that would be the case.

Attached is an example drawing and the corresponding pdf showing how it might be populated with wires and components.

    Hi Mike,

Started with DOS 2D version (mumble) years ago.
Right now I mostly use version 10 (DC2000) because it best suits my old HPs video drivers.
But I have V20 installed also so as to do the cool stuff in the later versions.
    Like the real-time 3D rendering :).
