I was wondering if the propellor c library compass3d will work only with the parrallax 3-axis HMC5883L compass or will work with one from another supplier like this one I found on amazon,http://www.amazon.com/Sunkee-HMC5883L-Compass-Magnetometer-Arduino/dp/B00CD2L9EE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1388798349&sr=8-5&keywords=3-axis+HMC5883L+compass.

If there's a difference, it would likely be something to do with pull-up resistors. I'm pretty the software would work with the board you linked to or even with this one. (How can they possibly sell one of these for $4.06?)

Edit: After looking at the product page, I think the two boards aren't exactly the same. I think Parallax's version can work with either 3.3V devices or 5V devices. I would be surprised if the software didn't work with the other boards.

I have a Parallax H5883L board and a SparkFun board. I've used the Spin code from the Learn tutorial on my SparkFun board without a problem.

How 'bout $2.62, Dawg? Now a fella has NO excuse for getting lost.

If you were to purchase four from my link the total would be $10.30 while four from erco's link would cost you the exorbitant price of $10.48.

I found out you're only charged shipping one if you purchase multiples of the item (I just purchased two myself).

I think it's time to add a compass to my cheap bot's BOM.
