Will both versions connect to my usb port on my laptop? I was wondering about this and thought I could only have the usb version. Im confused. Does the propstick version
require a serial outlet or something? Also when will both versions become available. This question is for Ken Gracey or others that work at Parallax.
Thanks,for replies

The PropStick is the same component used in the Propeller Education Kit-Propstick USB.
The Propstick is one product. It can be purchased alone or with the Propeller Education kit. Yes, it is USB programmable.
As for availability, it would be best to call sales at Parallax to get a quick answer.
Propeller Education Kit-Propstick USB.
While supplies last. Limited quantities.
Not in Stock.
Not really clear what that means. Has it been discontinued?
Perhaps the Propstick is going away like the SpinStamp. Low sales?
The 40 pin version of the PE-Kit is what got me hooked. because you need to build all of it by yourself. And because you build it you own it.
Way better then a ready made Propstick. The Education Part is about building things by yourself.
Sure, later on you can buy ready made boards - but to start with go for the 40 pin version and the PropPlug (included in Kit) to connect to USB.
Enjoy!

Once you work your way through the Propeller Education Kit Labs, you'll have a much better idea what to look for when you decide to buy an assembled board as part of your next project.
