Powering a SpinStamp from 3.3v?

Is it possible to power a SpinStamp using a regulated 3.3v supply? I have a Spark Core that I'd like to connect to my SpinStamp. The Spark Core is powered by a USB connection and has a 3.3v pin to supply power to attached hardware. However, I haven't found a way to power the SpinStamp with an external 3.3v supply. Can this be done?

Based upon the Spin Stamp's pinout and the following graph for its LM2937-3.3 regulator, I would say no -- unless you're willing to remove the regulator and bridge its input and output pads with a wire.

That's what I was afraid of. I guess I'll have to use my Prop Mini instead. I was hoping to use a SpinStamp because it can plug directly into my breadboard and the Prop Mini I have has female headers soldered to it that made sense for my Christmas ornament project but not this one. Or, I'll have to wait for the Prop Mini to be back in stock in the Parallax store! :-)

By the way, one reason I asked the question is that there are three pins on the SpinStamp that say not to connect them to anything. I wasn't sure if maybe one of those was an undocumented 3.3v input. It does seem odd that the SpinStamp has no 3.3v output. Maybe that's one reason it was discontinued in favor of the Prop Mini.
