Maximum & minimum forward voltage & current rating for an unknown LED

Hello everyone

Sir please help me a practical as well as theoritical way to find out maximum & minimum forward voltage and too maximum & minimum forward current for a given unknown LED

    Connect the led in series with a 100 ohm resistor, connect the resulting circuit to a variable power supply, adjust the voltage up from 0V in small steps and record the voltage across the led and resistor at each step. When it reaches a plateau you have reached the minimum forward voltage. The voltage across the resistor will be used to calculate the current.
